Program Description
Event Details
We're excited to welcome Kentucky-born author and former state poet laureate Silas House for an evening of Q&A, book signing, and more!
Recipient of the Appalachian Book of the Year Award, the Duggins Prize, and numerous other honors, Silas is one of the most visible authors of the American south. Now, you're invited to meet him, hear about his upbringing here in Kentucky, and ask him your most burning questions about his writing! You can also learn more here, whether you're already a fan or just hearing about his work for the first time.
Our family from Rowan County's favorite independent bookstore, CoffeeTree Books, will also be in attendance and will have Silas's books available for purchase. If any of his novels or poetry are missing from your personal collection, this is the perfect time to change that!
As with all library programs, this event is completely free! Seating is first come, first served due to space limitations, but those who don't mind standing are absolutely encouraged to drop in and stay even if we're out of sitting room.
