Tough Topics

"Tough Topics" in bold lettering with caution tape above and below

We know some things can be difficult to talk about, but the library and its staff are here to help you find the information you need. On this page is a list of "tough topics" people often find to be challenging, along with the Dewey number under which you can find information about each one.

You may find them challenging, too (that's why we list them as tough topics), but you should never feel embarrassed about having difficult or sensitive questions. You're never as alone as you may think you are—after all, someone else wondered enough about the same things as you to write books about them. That's why the answers in our nonfiction section are there for everyone who needs them.

Remember: You can check out books from any section of the library, regardless of your age. Your checkout history is private, and we won't share it. Don't forget that we also have self-checkouts for your convenience, too.

Need something we don't have? Feel free to request a physical item, or either an ebook or audiobook on our Libby app.
