Be a part of Marilyn's monthly book club for Rowan County senior citizens! There's a new book every month, requestable in advance through our bookmobile or available at our front circulation desk. Intended for ages 55+.

This month's book is The Red Garden by Alice Hoffman: Enter the world of Blackwell, Massachusetts and the people who live there, from the town's founder to a young runaway, a wounded soldier, a poet, and far more mysterious figures.&

Join Atlanta and your fellow book enthusiasts on a shared journey through the literary world! Each month features a conversation about the most recent middle-grade book choice, plus activities to go along with the titles you pick! Participants can also earn stamps toward free books at Morehead's local bookstore, CoffeeTree Books. Intended for grades 5-8.

April's book is Faith, Hope, and Ivy June by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor, a story of two Kentucky girls participating in a seventh-grade exchange program between their schools.
