Program Description

Event Details

Follow Morgan into your very own fantasy story with Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, and have your heroic deeds chronicled in the library's hall of fame! All players will be using the official D&D Beyond cloud app, so there are never any worries about forgetting your character sheet or dice, and rulebooks are supplied by us. Intended for adults 18+.

Please note: This program focuses on shorter adventures that are achievable over a reasonable number of sessions. At the conclusion of each adventure, there will be a new registration period to allow different community members to participate. Registration is always first come, first served; seats cannot be "held" based on prior or other program participation, but current players will necessarily be the first to know about upcoming registration periods.

If you're ready to explore the unknown, join us for our inaugural adventure as a part of this year's Summer Reading program! This initial meeting will be a "session zero" where the players can:

  • Get to know one another (and the Dungeon Master);
  • discuss details like tone and narrative boundaries;
  • learn the D&D Beyond app we'll use for character sheets; and
  • start creating the characters who will go down in history as the library's very first official Dungeons & Dragons adventuring party.

No need to bring blank character sheets, rulebooks, or even dice—all game materials are supplied by us!
