Be a part of Marilyn's monthly book club for Rowan County senior citizens! There's a new book every month, requestable in advance through our bookmobile or available at our front circulation desk. Intended for ages 55+.
June's book is The Night Train by Clyde Edgerton: A touching tale of friendship in segregation-era America, where rock-n'-roll hopeful Dwayne and aspiring pianist Larry work together and independently to achieve their dreams. Edgerton's trademark humor pairs perfectly with this look back over our country's divided history and how music brings people together. There's also a dancing chicken.
