Program Description

Event Details

Cook up something special together! Join our cookbook club to explore new recipes and techniques with Missy. Themed cookbooks are chosen each month; you can find them at the circulation desk and choose a dish that suits your tastes! Intended for ages 18+.

For April, we're exploring earth-friendly and planet-conscious meals in celebration of Earth Day! Recipes from this month's featured books aim to reduce food waste and use all parts of an ingredient, rather than creating leftovers that get thrown away. Hearty vegetable stocks? Carrot-top pesto? Candied fruit peel? Yes, please!

Use It All by Alex Elliott-Howery and Jaimee Edwards
The Zero-Waste Chef by Anne-Marie Bonneau
The No-Waste Vegetable Cookbook by Linda Ly
Sustainable Kitchen by Heather Wolfe and Jaynie McCloskey
