Age Group:

Adults

Program Description

Event Details

Our library history and genealogy programming promotes an awareness of and interest in local heritage. Cindy's presentations are different every month, covering a wide variety of topics, and we often welcome special guests! Intended for ages 18+.

David Bryant, Assistant Manager at the central office of our sister Lexington Public Library system, will be joining us this May for a look at how to discover your ancestors' stories using historical newspapers. Local newspapers are often cataloged in libraries as microfilm, microfiche, or in digital format, and provide an incredible view back on the lives and times of those who came before us!
