Program Description

Event Details

Our library history and genealogy programming promotes an awareness of and interest in local heritage. Cindy's presentations are different every month, covering a wide variety of topics, and we often welcome special guests! Intended for ages 18+.

This program has been rescheduled for March 5 due to severe winter weather!

February marks the 100th anniversary of Black History Month! We welcome Dr. Benjamin Fitzpatrick, Assistant Professor of History at Morehead State University, for a look back at how it got started, the journey here, how the efforts and contributions of Black Americans have shaped our society, and the work still left to do. Join us for a great presentation from a veteran historian!
