Program Description

Event Details

Our library history and genealogy programming promotes an awareness of and interest in local heritage. Cindy's presentations are different every month, covering a wide variety of topics, and we often welcome special guests! Intended for ages 18+.

In August, we're joined by Stuart Sanders, Director of Research and Collections with the Kentucky Historical Society! He'll be recounting a macabre scene from 1856 of murder and mayhem aboard the steamboat Ohio Belle, where a drunken altercation turned into a twisted tale of murder and revenge...

The library makes every effort to ensure our programs can be enjoyed by all. If you have questions about accessibility or wish to request reasonable accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), please contact us at least three (3) working days before the scheduled event.
