August's book: Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier, a story of two incredible women and their journey of discovery. The unfortunate Mary learns she has a gift for finding fossils others miss, but the strange skeleton she finds in the cliffs near her English home stirs controversy and raises uncomfortable questions. Things only get more complicated when she falls in love with an impossible man; thankfully, Mary finds a friend in grumpy Elizabeth, who possesses a love for scouring the same beaches. Their friendship is complex and imperfect, but will turn out to be their greatest strength.
